After a string of four wins, Princeton's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were dealt a 55-21 defeat at the hands of Loyalton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Princeton in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite their loss, Princeton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mackenzie Wills, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Wills has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. Guadalupe Espinoza was another key contributor, scoring three points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Paradise Adventist Academy came into Tuesday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 31-26 W over Westwood on Tuesday. That looming 31-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Paradise Adventist Academy yet this season.
Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Paradise Adventist Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-7.
Everything came up roses for Princeton against the Cougars in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 46-15 win. Will Princeton repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
