The Cary Imps's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holly Springs. Cary has struggled against Holly Springs recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Imps players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rayshone Gullatt, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Simon Eyob, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Cary has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Holly Springs, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Cary will take on Apex Friendship at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Apex Friendship presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cary in North Carolina (Apex Friendship is ranked 128th, while Cary is ranked 378th). As for Holly Springs, they will be playing at home against Panther Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Panther Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
