Kingston has gone 7-1 against Wallkill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Kingston is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Kingston gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Goshen Central by a score of 7-3.
Kingston got a great performance from Matt Martin as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Martin has posted since back in May of 2025.
At the plate, Bradyn Parise was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Freese, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Kingston hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Wallkill was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 9-1 to Cornwall Central. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered against the Dragons since April 15, 2019.
Wallkill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Bleichner, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Kingston's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wallkill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Kingston came out on top in a nail-biter against Wallkill in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, sneaking past 3-1. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
