The Aquinas Falcons's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past Canyon with a 49-44 victory. The victory was all the more spectacular given Aquinas' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Canyon is ranked 90th).
Madeleine De Kodia continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Aquinas' points. Another player making a difference was Perrine Allou, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.
