Newnan made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Carrollton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Newnan Cougars were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over the Carrollton Trojans on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The win got Newnan back to even at 4-4. As for Carrollton, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-5.
