The Leyton Warriors won the last time they faced the Morrill Lions, and things went their way on Saturday too. Leyton came out on top against Morrill by a score of 62-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Leyton.
Morrill's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kinzley Hess, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Brooklin Hess was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Leyton's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Morrill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leyton will take on Peetz at TBD on Thursday. As for Morrill, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Hay Springs at 5:30 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Hay Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
