2-A's top pitcher this week was
Irwin County's
Clay Paulk. He won one game and struck out six batters.
Top honors in the league this week go to
Charlton County, which finished with three wins overall, good for best in the league. The Indians beat
Turner County 14-3,
Paideia 11-8 and the Pythons 7-1.
Clinch County's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only ten hits and five walks, both of which led the league.
Although the 85 runs scored by the Rebels topped the league, the Indians maintained their lead in the league with 93 runs this season.
There were six hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. The group was paced by Kyle Posey, who collected eight hits in ten at bats for a .800 average.
Irwin County's
Jonathan Martin led the league in strikeouts this week with seven. He's fifth in the league with 30 total strikeouts.
Bill Hendricks led Charlton County to a win on March 26, as he notched 15 strikeouts to beat the Panthers, 5-3. Over his seven innings pitched he allowed five runs on seven hits.
