The Sierra Timberwolves won the last time they faced the Tokay Tigers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Sierra strolled past Tokay with points to spare, taking the game 44-25. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sierra.
It was another big night for Emma Gilmore, who shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Everett, who scored ten points.
Sierra's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Tokay, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Ripon at 3:00 p.m. on December 29th. Tokay won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gregori at 4:30 p.m. on December 29th. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Gregori and five for Tokay.
