The Upper Dauphin Area Trojans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They breezed by Tri-Valley at home to the tune of 55-23. Considering Upper Dauphin Area has won three contests by more than 27 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Upper Dauphin Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gracie Griffiths, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The contest was Griffiths' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mazie Bingaman, who scored 16 points.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cassie Huntzinger, who scored ten points. Huntzinger scored a full 43.5% of Tri-Valley's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Upper Dauphin Area's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Tri-Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
