The Tampa Prep Terrapins stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Pasco for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-21 victory at home. The victory was nothing new for Tampa Prep as they're now sitting on six straight.
Tampa Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was J'London Bivens out in front who scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Bivens is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Chandler White Brooks was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Pasco lost, one person who can't be blamed is TJ Gebru. Despite the final result, he scored eight points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pasco struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Tampa Prep racked up 14 assists.
Tampa Prep pushed their record up to 19-2 with that win, which was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Pasco, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tampa Prep will take on Tampa Bay Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tampa Bay Tech will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 316th, while Tampa Prep is ranked 116th). Pasco won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Tavares at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
