The St. Lucy's Regents had to endure  a  six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy  39-21 victory over Workman on Friday. The  victory was just what St. Lucy's needed coming off of a  85-8 defeat in their prior  match.
 St. Lucy's can attribute much of their success to  Kira Carroll, who  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and ten  rebounds. That's the first time this season that  Carroll  pulled down eight or more   rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Danika Mejico, who  scored 11 points along with eight  rebounds and six  assists.
 St. Lucy's win  ended a four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 10-11. As for Workman, they bumped their record down to 3-18 with that  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Lucy's will stay at home for another  game and welcome Upland at 4:45  p.m.  on January 22nd. Upland is coming into the  game on a four-game losing streak. As for Workman, they will be playing at home against Azusa at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Azusa is coming into the  match on a three-game losing streak.
