Masterman put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 48-24 margin over Kensington. Masterman has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.
Leading Masterman to victory were Jocelyn Goldstein and Sophia Brunelli. Goldstein scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Brunelli scored 19 points along with eight steals and three blocks. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Goldstein has scored at least a third of Masterman's points. Hannah Sollie was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Despite the loss, Kensington saw an underclassman step up: JOCELYN WASHINGTON scored 13 points. WASHINGTON continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Masterman pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home. As for Kensington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Masterman will head out on the road to challenge Motivation at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Motivation will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 490th, while Masterman is ranked 77th). As for Kensington, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Prep Charter at 3:15 p.m.
