The Northridge Grizzlies will square off against the Brush Beetdiggers at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Northridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Northridge is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Roosevelt just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 15-2 to the Roughriders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Grizzlies have suffered since September 24th.

Bo Tellez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
Meanwhile, Brush came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Vikings 14-4. The Beetdiggers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.
Elizabeth Peckham made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Peckham was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jolie Tuck was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Izabella Talmich, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Brush kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Brush, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Northridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. However, it's not like Brush struggles in that department as they've averaged .509. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Northridge skirted past Brush 11-9 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Beetdiggers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
