The St. Lucy's Regents's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Los Osos 64-5. St. Lucy's was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-1.
Brooke Baur was St. Lucy's leading scorer, having posted three points.
Kate Campbell held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Los Osos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexus Finley, who scored ten points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Jaida Sanders, who scored seven points along with three steals.
St. Lucy's has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Los Osos, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
St. Lucy's will head out on the road to square off against Rancho Cucamonga at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Rancho Cucamonga presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. Lucy's in California (Rancho Cucamonga is ranked 132nd, while St. Lucy's is ranked 963rd). Los Osos on the road again on Saturday and play against Shadow Hills at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th.
