The North Stars lost against the Tehachapi Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. North suffered a tough 62-37 defeat at the hands of the Warriors. North has struggled against the Warriors recently, as their game on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Tehachapi's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennedy Perkins, who scored 19 points along with four blocks. Perkins is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Walden, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
North has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season. As for Tehachapi, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.
North will be playing at home against the Blades at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Bakersfield is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Tehachapi, they will head out on the road to take on the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Warriors are ranked 154th).
