East Palo Alto Academy was beaten by Luis Valdez Leadership Academy 47-5 on Friday. East Palo Alto Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-1.
Andrea Mata Alejo was nothing short of spectacular for Luis Valdez Leadership Academy: she scored 20 points along with eight steals. It was the first time this season that Mata Alejo scored 15 or more points. Anna Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six steals.
East Palo Alto Academy still hasn't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9. As for Luis Valdez Leadership Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
