After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Foothill, the Aragon Dons were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They slipped by Jefferson 45-44. That's another feather in the cap for Aragon, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why Jefferson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Grace Wang. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Wang hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Isabella Cardoza was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six assists.
Aragon pushed their record up to 8-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Aragon will head out on the road to face off against Carlmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Carlmont is ranked 442nd, while Aragon is ranked 426th). Jefferson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Immaculate Conception at 12:30 p.m. on January 5th. Immaculate Conception is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
