After three games on the road, Millersburg is heading back home. They will take on the Halifax Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Millersburg is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Halifax in Pennsylvania (Millersburg is ranked 245th, while Halifax is ranked 644th).
Millersburg can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 50-21 win over Line Mountain on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Millersburg has posted since December 18, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Millersburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Miller, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 23 rebounds. Miller has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 17 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jana Strait, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Halifax suffered their biggest defeat since December 13, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Greenwood, falling 48-19. Halifax was down 44-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Millersburg has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which somehow isn't as good as their 14-4 record this season. As for Halifax, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
Millersburg took their win against Halifax in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 53-27. With Millersburg ahead 32-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
