Deer River will challenge East Central on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Deer River is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
Deer River couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 12-30 fall.
Meanwhile, East Central had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 20-45 walloping at Crosby-Ironton's hands.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see which team satisfies that hunger and which team leaves with an empty belly.
