It's playoff time, and Northview had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Jay Royals on Thursday as they made off with a 7-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Chiefs sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Jay's batters probably weren't too happy with Mikayla McAnally, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (she gave up two walks). McAnally has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Daviona Randolph was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Brooks, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Northview's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Jay, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
