In other batting news, Scholars Guild Academy got a massive performance out of Alton Strange, who went 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Strange has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Samuel Autry, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
The win got Scholars Guild Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Cross Keys, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
