The Brockway Rovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 43-28 bruising from DuBois. If Brockway hoped to take revenge for the 43-32 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Despite the loss, Brockway saw an underclassman step up: Rheanna Spinda scored eight points along with three steals. Spinda continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.
Brockway struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Brockway has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for DuBois, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brockway will square off against East Forest/West Forest at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for DuBois, they will head out on the road to take on St. Marys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
