Benicio Gonzalez Kim made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Channel Islands let Nordhoff stack four runs on them in the second inning on Tuesday but luckily Channel Islands prevailed anyway. The Raiders skirted past the Rangers 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted against the Rangers since March 9, 2018.
Isaiah Osuna was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Sanchez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Channel Islands has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Kearny, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kearny has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Channel Islands struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
