The Beaver Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They fell to Quaker Valley 45-39. Beaver has struggled against the Quakers recently, as their matchup on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Beaver saw an underclassman step up: Annsley Baker scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kylie Conley, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Leading Quaker Valley to victory were Madison Chapman and Oumou Thiero. Chapman scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Thiero dropped a double-double on 26 points and 27 rebounds. Thiero is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 11 games she's played.
Beaver's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Quaker Valley, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13.
Beaver will challenge the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Valley is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Quaker Valley, they will be playing at home against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
