The Cambria Heights Highlanders lost against the United Lions back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cambria Heights took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. Cambria Heights has not had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Cambria Heights still got an impressive performance from Sienna Kirsch, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Kirsch has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maelyn Dutko, who scored five points along with two steals.
United's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mollee Fry, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. It was the first time this season that Fry pulled down eight or more rebounds. Delaney Perrone was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Cambria Heights now has a losing record at 8-9. As for United, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
