Baseball Recap: Desert Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against San Jacinto Leadership Academy

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Desert Christian Academy brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions 15-5 on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Conquerors' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Christian Adamson was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Westin Abarrate was a standout: he scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Judah Garrison was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Desert Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Jacinto Leadership Academy only posted an OBP of .481.

Desert Christian Academy moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, Desert Christian Academy will be playing at home against Yucca Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Desert Christian Academy is facing Yucca Valley at the right time seeing as Yucca Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Nuview Bridge at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. San Jacinto Leadership Academy has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
