Mexico waltzed into their match  on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with  a   7-3  win over the Moberly Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Keerstan Ewing spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  Hannah Loyd and  Alyssa Miller did most of the damage at the plate:  Loyd  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  runs, while  Miller  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double. Loyd is  on a roll when it comes to  home runs, as she's  now  launched  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played.  Maddy Feger was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run.
Mexico's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Moberly, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
 Coming up, Mexico will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Elsberry  at 5:00  p.m. As for Moberly, they will venture away from home to  face off against Kirksville  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
