Brunswick not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024 (when they won 16-2). They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over Mt. Ararat. The Dragons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Caitlin Seitz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Julianna Morin, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Skyler Augustine, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Brunswick kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Everything went Messalonskee's way against Brunswick in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Messalonskee made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
