The Moravian Academy Lions had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. Their rough 52-28 loss to Bangor on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Moravian Academy in their matchups with Bangor: they've now lost five in a row.
Bangor can attribute much of their success to Avery Nelson, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 4 assists. The matchup was Nelson's third in a row with at least ten points. Julia Pinter was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Moravian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Bangor, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moravian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Salisbury Township at 6:45 p.m. on December 20th.
