The Ridgeview Wolf Pack's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-38 win over Independence. The victory was just what Ridgeview needed coming off of a 67-31 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Kenadi Walton, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alyse Brooks, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Independence still got an impressive performance from Kaylynn Bolden, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 23 rebounds. Bolden hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Fletcher, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, Independence smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ridgeview only pulled down 18 offensive rebounds.
The victory got Ridgeview back to even at 9-9. As for Independence, they bumped their record down to 7-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will take on Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1211th, while Ridgeview is ranked 491st). As for Independence, they will be playing at home against Stockdale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Stockdale is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
