Kelliher/Northome added to the longest winning streak in Great Northern (9 Man) this week by beating Hill City, 14-12. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Isle was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to sixth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Huskies triumphed over Cromwell 20-15.
Austin Pfisthner made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Cardinals lost to Isle. He pulled down 1 interception.
Andrew Demenge provided a threat through the air and on the ground as McGregor lost to Floodwood. Demenge's key target this week was Billy Staska, who caught 2 passes for 17 yards.
Demenge was the best running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 159 yards as the Mercuries fell to Paul Tinjum's team. Auston Anderson also contributed to the rushing game with 64 yards on the ground.
Jeff Gronner's team's Zion Smith and Tristan Johnson led Great Northern (9 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Smith has thrown for 596 yards this season, while Johnson has 14 catches for 265 yards. McGregor's Demenge leads the league in rushing yards with 1,090.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Nevis takes on Onamia. At the moment, the Tigers are in fourth, while the Panthers are in third.
Onamia took down Lake of the Woods/Indus 62-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
