Josh Novak Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Avalon got the W thanks in part to Josh Novak playing the best football he has all season. Novak wasn't messing around, rushing for 245 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 78 yards and two touchdowns. The game was his ninth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Unfortunately for Milford, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Novak. Novak rushed for 226 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 80 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Bulldogs duked it out back in October of 2023.
