The Prospect Panthers will head out to square off against the Evergreen Valley Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Prospect came out on top against Saratoga on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Falcons. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Prospect let Kyle Pollace and Kevin-Joseph Rieden run wild. Pollace went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two doubles, while Rieden went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and four RBI. Those four runs gave Pollace a new career-high. Wyatt Smith was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Prospect was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Evergreen Valley came out on top against Hill on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Cougars were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Falcons. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.
Evergreen Valley also got a great performance from Jacob Cambra as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Cambra is becoming a predictor of the Cougars' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 6-11 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, Logan Burton and Tristan Ho did most of the damage at the plate: Burton went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Ho went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Burton is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Noah Lara also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Prospect has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Evergreen Valley, their record now sits at 9-11.
