Kosciusko and Leake Central are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Kosciusko Whippets will head out on the road to face off against the Leake Central Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Kosciusko focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
Kosciusko entered their tilt with McAdams with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Kosciusko snuck past McAdams with a 36-32 victory. That's two games straight that Kosciusko has won by exactly four points.
Kosciusko's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremi Wilkes, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds. Andrew Mancell was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 9 rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Leake Central's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morton.
Their wins bumped Kosciusko to 5-3 and McAdams to 5-2.
Kosciusko came up short against Leake Central when the teams last played back in January, falling 48-43. Can Kosciusko avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
