Lawndale had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Santa Monica Vikings on Thursday, sneaking past 34-32. The 34-point effort marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Telayia Fuller continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot, having also posted three or more steals the last five times she's played.

Lawndale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 26 consecutive contests.

Lawndale is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for Santa Monica, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.

Coming up, Lawndale will take on Alta Loma at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Alta Loma will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lawndale surely won't give up without a fight. Santa Monica does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
