Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Berean Christian's Winning Streak

If Berean Christian was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Bentley last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Berean Christian Eagles fell just short of the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Nick Kullman and Damon Neu did some serious damage despite the final result: Kullman scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Neu scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Upshaw, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Berean Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berean Christian will challenge College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they will face off against Hercules at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
