The Mountain Empire Redhawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Bonsall, posting a 43-14 win on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for Mountain Empire as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Carli McGhee was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 18 points. Bibi Caceres was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Mountain Empire's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Bonsall, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-10.
Mountain Empire will head out on the road to challenge San Diego Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bonsall, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on High Tech NC at 5:15 p.m. on January 23rd. High Tech NC will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
