Clarinda had won three straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 19-7 to make it four. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Lewis Central Titans. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

As for Lewis Central, they moved to 25-8 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Lewis Central's part, Cami Damgaard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Aubree Davis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lewis Central beat Clarinda by a score of 6-3 later that day.
