Trinity Christian School of Griffin got a massive performance out of Jakyi Armstrong, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Armstrong has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Jeremiah Greene was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Skipstone Academy had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Peoples Baptist Academy on Tuesday, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since April 11, 2024.
Jace Wilson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.
In other pitching news, Gage Wheat looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Carter Cook was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Collum, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Trinity Christian School of Griffin dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Skipstone Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
