They came out on top against Eagle Rock by a score of 41-30. That's another feather in the cap for Granada Hills Charter, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Granada Hills Charter can attribute much of their success to Emma Perez, who scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Perez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Melendez, who scored 7 points along with 4 steals.
Despite the loss, Eagle Rock had strong showings from Haylee Weatherspoon, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals, and Audrey Campos, who scored 12 points. Weatherspoon scored a full 46.7% of Eagle Rock's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Granada Hills Charter's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Eagle Rock, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Granada Hills Charter is on the road again on Thursday and play against Crossroads at 8:30 p.m. on December 7th. Crossroads presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Granada Hills Charter in California (Crossroads is ranked 109th, while Granada Hills Charter is ranked 404th). As for Eagle Rock, they will square off against Culver City at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
