River Valley came out on top against Homer-Center by a score of 38-30 on Tuesday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points River Valley has scored all season.
It was another big night for Ava Persichetti, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of River Valley's points. Kenady Kitner was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
River Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Homer-Center, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.
River Valley will square off against Purchase Line at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Purchase Line will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 472nd, while River Valley is ranked 110th). As for Homer-Center, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against West Shamokin at 7:15 p.m.
