Baseball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Truckee's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

While Truckee put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Hug. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 18-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Logan Arata, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Calvin Curtis, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Truckee hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hug struck out eight times.

Truckee has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Hug, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
