The Templeton Eagles will face off against the Pioneer Valley Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Templeton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Last Tuesday, Templeton earned a 6-1 victory over Paso Robles. The Eagles have beaten the Bearcats the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bearcats has come to flipping the script.
Templeton got a great performance from Nate Argain as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. Argain has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Pioneer Valley hadn't done well against San Luis Obispo recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Pioneer Valley's pitcher stepped up to hand San Luis Obispo a 2-0 shutout.
Not much got past Andru Angulo, who gave up just five hits to keep San Luis Obispo off the board. What's more, Angulo gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024.
At the plate, Pioneer Valley's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was David Cortez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Thomas Zepeda, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Pioneer Valley now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Templeton, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
