The Sotomayor Wolves had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Elizabeth 40-10 at home. The win was just what Sotomayor needed coming off of a 49-17 defeat in their prior contest.
Sotomayor was led to victory by Angie Mendoza and Hailey Deniz. Mendoza scored 12 points, while Deniz scored 14 points.
The victory got Sotomayor back to even at 7-7. As for Elizabeth, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.
Sotomayor will square off against Torres at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elizabeth, they will be playing at home against Maywood CES at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Maywood CES is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
