The Gompers Prep Academy Eagles's three-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They managed a 35-30 victory over Guajome Park Academy.
Gompers Prep Academy can attribute much of their success to Nadia Mohamed, who scored 21 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mohamed has scored at least 25% of Gompers Prep Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Kamariyah Mccollough, who scored 10 points.
Gompers Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Guajome Park Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gompers Prep Academy will take on Horizon Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Guajome Park Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kearny at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kearny is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
