The Heritage Preparatory Rams are taking a road trip to face off against The King's Academy Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The King's Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Heritage Preparatory, who comes in off a win.
Last Wednesday, Heritage Preparatory sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over St. Mary's Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.
Johnny Davidson made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with five stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grant Fortson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, The King's Academy came up short against Pinecrest Academy on Tuesday, falling 14-8.
Emmett Gilcreast and Aaron Lundt stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gilcreast got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs, while Lundt went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The King's Academy is 2-1 when Gilcreast posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise. Hayden Beasley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
The King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Heritage Preparatory, their record now sits at 2-0.
Heritage Preparatory might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from The King's Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
