Basketball Recap: Logan Mason Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bishop Manogue

Mid-Pacific Institute's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 76-65 win over the Bishop Manogue Miners.

Mid-Pacific Institute's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logan Mason led the charge by going 10 of 11 on his way to 23 points. The matchup was Mason's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Chizer, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 21 points and five assists.

Mid-Pacific Institute was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Despite the loss, Bishop Manogue still got an impressive performance from Liam Sorensen, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 21 points and three steals. Those 21 points gave Sorensen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Veo Dizon, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Mid-Pacific Institute's record is now 13-6. As for Bishop Manogue, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
