Basketball Recap: Pleasant Valley Piles Up the Points Against Enterprise

Pleasant Valley came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Enterprise Hornets, posting a 65-31 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.

Pleasant Valley had a senior duo take command as Ava Dunn posted eight points and eight boards and Aj Gambol went 6 of 15 on her way to 12 points. Dunn has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shannon Fong, who scored eight points.

Pleasant Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

Enterprise's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Maci Anderson, who had six points and three steals, and Meeya James, who put up five points. What's more, Anderson also posted a 30% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024.

Pleasant Valley pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games. As for Enterprise, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Pleasant Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-36 victory against Chico on the 6th. As for Enterprise, they have also already played their next game, a 52-47 loss against Shasta on the 6th.
