If Aliso Niguel beats Dana Hills with nine runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Wolverines put the hurt on Capistrano Valley with a sharp 9-2 win on Friday. Considering the Wolverines have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Cooper Flemming was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Carson Etnire was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jarett Sabol, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Aliso Niguel hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Capistrano Valley struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Dana Hills sidestepped Tesoro for a 7-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dolphins.
Aliso Niguel's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Dana Hills, their win bumped their record up to 9-11-1.
