When it comes to explaining why Lake Lure Classical Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Da'Zirus Watkins. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with six assists and three steals. Watkins is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Barker, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Lake Lure Classical Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Lake Lure Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
